The other day, my sister decided that Pippin looks like  a little dragon.  I blinked at her as she described to me what about him looked dragon-ish.

“Blee’s got a long head and his tooth sometimes sticks out.  See?  Take away his ears and give him horns and stuff and he would be a dragon!”  ["Blee" is one of Pippin's numerous nicknames.  Something of a long story on how he got it, which I'll have to tell y'all someday.  ]

“…  Um…  Yeah, he actually kinda does look like a dragon, when you put it that way.”

She grinned and a few hours later, showed me this picture.

This, my friends, is a “Blee Dragon”.  It is very small, but has the idea stuck in it’s head that it is a very large dragon.  It has a lot of attitude and will take on other dragons three times its size.  Fortunately for the Blee dragon, the larger dragons know that the Blee is perfectly harmless in reality and so do not retaliate to its constant bickering.  If that were not the case, the Blee would have died out ages ago.  The Blee is also very social and is one of the few dragons to be quick to crawl in a human’s lap without asking.

All in all, the Blee is a very interesting dragon.  I’m glad to have been able to meet it.
